Creativity is Still on the Rise

So last night I spent a few hours trying to figure out how to spruce up the site a little more, and I will tell you why later on in the week. I started off just wanting to a picture of myself in the ‘about’ page, just to make it a little more personable. Then I thought that was a little bland, and I wanted to do something different. So I wanted to step it up to video.
I recorded a few different introductions, but I wasn’t liking the way that the camera quality was looking. At first I was going to just blow it off, but I had to come up with something else. So today I added a new little feature in the about section of my page, and it’s pretty self explanitory. I wish the quality would have been better still, but at least it’s something.
It’s not groundbreaking or anything, but I can say that I’ve never really seen someone do anything like that on their personal page. So that alone makes me a little more proud of it. It’s not crisp quite yet, but it’s something. When I finished it I was quite pleased, yet unsatisfied at the same time.
I want to do more! Playing with video stuff is fun, and time consuming. I, in no way, have given up on wanting to take up film as a hobby, however it’s a little tough to do that with no damn camera. I definitely will get one this holiday season, but just not now. I can’t wait though. There’s something about doing stuff with video that will be so much different than any other creative project that I’ve ever done.
Again, as I’ve mentioned in a Sound Session, I am going to start off with my “In a Minute” feature. I am really looking forward to that because it will be tough to get alot of useful info in a minutes time frame. If that doesn’t work out, then I’ll bump it up to two minutes.
Whatever I choose to do, just know that I will kick this off the minute I get a camera. I want to get used to using a video camera and getting good footage, before I start planning more for the documentary. So anyways, that’s what is going on right now. Work needs to be done now, so I’m out!
