Instant Messenger is Boring Now

When I was still in school, AIM was one of those things that you always kept up with. Away messages were a great time waster to see what people were up to. It was a very easy way to waste away a whole lot of time. Of course all of your friends were basically still in school, so you could alway chat with someone, just to have something to do. Well, it’s different now.

I now look at my buddy list that I’ve filtered down a whole lot since being in school, and I still notice that about 90% of the people on my buddy, I either barely know and just happened to have their screen name, or people that I know but don’t talk to. I barely even check away messages anymore because I really don’t care what most people (that I don’t talk to) are doing anymore.

I myself even barely use it much anymore, and if I do, it’s because I am online linking my a recently updated blog, or rubbing in things like the Gators winning the national championship………….sorry I had to slide that in there. :)

So, yeah, I’ve just been pretty bored of it lately. Will I ever give it up 100%? Who knows. The only people I really talk to on it are Bill, and JJ. So I’m sure I’ll keep it at least to talk to them. Maybe I’ll just delete like everyone on my list that I definitely don’t, or plan to, talk to. Am I the only one that feels this way?

If you are still a normal reader here that expects to get to my blog through my away message or profile, I suggest you either bookmark this site, or subscribe to it. Because I won’t be using instant messenger a whole lot in the future. I no longer gain any value from it. I think I will go back to importing these posts back into Facebook, so if you are a user there with me as a friend, then that will also let you know when I update here. That’s all I got for today.

Peace
