My iPhone Adventure

Sunday, July 1st, 2007

It has been a damn good weekend. Though I’m a tad bit more broke than Friday morning, the experience was well worth it. For the past week, before Friday, I had been doing major scouting on this product. I was trying to find out for so long, how many units each AT&T store was going to get, but no one had answers. I tried finding out how many units the Apple store was getting, but again, no one had answers. (more…)

Patiently Waiting for my iPhone

Friday, June 29th, 2007

So, I just got to the mall about 20 minutes ago to get in line for my iPhone. There are about 70(ish) people in front of me, so as of now, it looks like I have a good chance of getting one……but who knows. I must say that I am hella excited for this thing. Being a huge gadget fanatic, I must say that I have never seen so much hype over a product. It’s ridiculous. (more…)

My Dream Device Has Arrived

Thursday, January 11th, 2007

Well not quite yet. It doesn’t come out until June. But for the past year, I have been awaiting the arrival of this device. People had been speculating and starting all kinds of rumors of what it would be, and what it would look like. Well on Monday, Steve Jobs, the big boss man at Apple, announced it at this conference. The Decision is Made

Sunday, July 30th, 2006

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been pondering my next move as far as computers go. Now I’m not going to get all techy and down to the bone with specs and such, but I just want to voice my thoughts on what I have been thinking about. It’s been just about two years since I got my Dell laptop, and it’s starting to show signs of aging, which tells me, that it might be time for a new man in the house to step in and take over the primary roll.

Now, I still like my computer alot, considering there are over 250,000 known viruses for PC’s, I’ve managed to keep mine quite healthy and not having to re-install XP or anything. So I can’t say that it’s treated me bad. Ok so on the other hand, I work on a Mac at work. Granted, the shit is at least 5 years old, I still really like working on it. Everything about it is just way comfortable, and feels very personable when using it. Although it runs kind of slow, and gets frustrating at times, a new one won’t carry that same frustration, and will make the user-experience that much better.

Now you’re probably thinking, why would I switch to a Mac. Well, because they’re awesome, and people tend to have this negative connotation towards Macs because of how terrible they were back in the day. I’ve told many people this, and this is why people have a hard time grasping Mac’s, I think. Here’s what to keep in mind when using one: It’s not Windows. That’s it, as far as I’ve known. Of course there are some minor differences and such, but it’s still a computer and easy as hell to use. It runs alot smoother than Windows, the sounds are cooler, and the look is like night and day between a Mac and Windows.

So, like I said, I won’t get down to the specs because you either 1.) won’t understand what I’m talking about or 2.) don’t care. All good, but what I’m getting at is that there is a 93% chance that I will be bringing in a Mac to man the household. I don’t know when that will be but I hope sooner than later. I’m just trying to figure out which one I want, which will determine how soon I get one. I’ve been doing major homework so I should have my decision soon. So if you come to my apartment and need to use my cpu, you will only be allowed to use the Mac until you get used to it!
