Rare Event

So my last blog was kinda short, cause we had to go bowling for P’s birthday. It was good times, as always, but damn, im horrible at bowling. If you ever go bowling with me, you have a very good chance and beating me. The strikes just weren’t happenin Monday, I was bogusly off my game. Lets just say I was happy the ONE game out of three that I broke 100………………I know, sad.

Ok I don’t talk politics, it bores me. I don’t vote, well, because I don’t. So it is very rare that i’ll talk about politics because I figure I have no place arguing if I don’t vote. So I mainly sit back and listen…….but this kinda bothered me today. So I was just reading my daily news and I stumbled across a title reading “Bush to Request $120B More for War Funding.” WOW! Thats almost all I can really say. Thats is just rediculous……….what the hell do we need that much money for?!?! And why are we still fighting across seas. That just flusters me, not gonna lie, and I think its pretty damn gay that Bush wants all that money, and on top of that, this guy cuts funding for education and healthcare for this. Sad. I think our country needs more teachers and not fucking troops.

The article also says that Bush is going to request $18B for hurricane Katrina relief. So as much as thats nice and all that a hopeful $18B might go to Katrina victims and such, why would we not put more money into the homefront of our country than fighting in this, what it seems, never ending “war on terrorism.” People down south have to rebuild whole cities, meanwhile Bush is trying to put an additional $120B into fighting, on top of the $558B thats already being spent on our Military($320B of that on war since 9/11). Again……WOW! And for my political closing note, here was another part of the article: “If approved by Congress, the war money would push spending related to the wars toward a staggering half-trillion dollars.” I dont even know what to say, thats damn rediculous. Can Bush slide me a couple thousand…………….I wouldn’t even complain anymore about this if that happened.

Ok no more politics. Big weekend comin up, i’ve been waitin for the super bowl for a long time. Super Bowl Sundays are mad fun, and I think i’ll be headin over to El’s crib, cause 30″ more of football on his tv is always better than my tv. My votes for winner this year are gonna have to go to Seattle. Yes it was be nice to see Bettis win a title in his last year, but whatever. Seattle has never been to a Super Bowl, so it would be real hot to see them win. I hope its not a blow out either. I want one of those edge of your seat games. Aside from the actual game, im FOR SURE looking forward to the halftime show commercials. There are always at least a handful of memorable ones, and i’ll be lookin for Bud Light to be leading the pack again like they usually do.

Following the Super Bowl, I will most certainly be tuning in to some Grey’s Anatomy. From the previews last week, its gonna be a tight episode. I remember hearing something about a “code black” so I decided to cheat and see what that means in medical terms. Hopefully im not ruining it for anyone, and if so, then stop reading right now. So anyways, a code black in medical terms means that a patient walked into the hospital with a bomb strapped to their body. Thats mad crazy. Thats all i’ll say about the episode. I’d tried not to read too much about whats gonna happen cause im not tryin to spoil it for myself, then the suspense factor will be gone.

Since i’ve gotten my digital camera back, i’ve barely used it. I was just thinkin the other day too, why I don’t use it. All that time I spent missing it, and im barely using it. That needs to change, and I think it will when it gets warm. Im gonna set up a picture site too, kinda like web shots, but less the hassle. Webshots is cool and all, but its mad annoying to get pics up there. So I found another creeper site where I can post my images and whatnot. I’d post my new years pics up there, but New Years is long gone, and half of my pics turned out blurry from my other camera anyways. So i’ll wait til I have some fresh imagery to post.

One last thing and im done. Yesterday I had to attend this Professional writing club meeting, in where people were go bring designs for the soon-to-be Writers’ Bloc web site, and I hadn’t done anything yet for it. So after work yesterday, I decided to just sit down and grind out a design in the hour and a half that I had to work with. As far as the results of my work, I impressed myself. I like the design alot, so if it doesn’t get used for the site, then it will most def. be put on the side for a different project. So that was an hour and a half well spent on a not-far-from-complete design. So I just thought i’d share that.
